Super League Matchweek 21 Preview | Kuala Lumpur City FC vs Selangor FC | 2025/26 | Crucial Klang Valley Derby Battle

Selangor FC will travel to Stadium Cheras, Kuala Lumpur to face Kuala Lumpur City FC in the Klang Valley Derby as part of the Super League Matchweek 21 fixture, scheduled to kick off at 10pm tonight.

The Red Giants currently sit third in the league standings with 39 points, level on points with Kuala Lumpur City FC. After 19 matches, the team has recorded 12 wins, three draws and four defeats. The race for second place in the league between the Red Giants, The City Boys and The Cats remains intense, with only five matches remaining in the 2025/26 Super League campaign.

According to Selangor FC Head Coach Kim Pan-gon, he expects a highly competitive derby but believes the team is well prepared.

“Kuala Lumpur City are a balanced team with their own quality, so we expect a tough match, especially as we are playing at their home ground. We have prepared well according to our game plan and the players understand what they need to do. The team must play with passion and be ready to give them a real challenge. At the same time, we will fully utilise our strengths,” said Kim Pan-gon.

For supporters who are unable to attend the match at Stadium Cheras tonight, you are invited to join the Watch Party, a live screening organised by the club at Suasana Market Hall, starting at 9pm. See you there, Red Giants!

Selangor FC management is confident the team will put up a strong challenge against Kuala Lumpur City FC in their pursuit of three valuable points in tonight’s Klang Valley Derby.
